Grace Period

Period Equity, Equality, and Advocacy

Addressing period poverty among the unhoused.

Grace Period's mission is to give unhoused and disadvantaged Bay Area women access to menstrual products. We believe all women deserve dignity during their period. We work tirelessly to bridge the gap through direct distribution to homeless encampments and by partnering with shelters and outreach programs to provide a steady supply of products. Join us in championing dignity and equality for all women.

Menstrual Hygiene Care Packages

Every month, our organization compassionately distributes over 100 care packages to individuals in need. These packages contain essential items such as pads, tampons, wipes, pain killers, and more, providing crucial support and addressing basic hygiene needs.

Method of Distribution

At Grace Period, we have a comprehensive strategy for distributing menstrual hygiene care packages. We prioritize direct distribution to individuals through street distribution days, while also collaborating with women's shelters and other organizations that can assist in distributing the packages.

Events

Through events such as community outreach programs, workshops, and charity drives, we are given the invaluable opportunity to foster connections within our community, while also raising awareness and educating others about the concerning issue of period poverty.

Our Reach

Thanks to the unwavering community support we received over the past few months, we collected and distributed more than 650 menstrual care packages, including 3000+ pads, 3000+ tampons, and countless wipes. Each package represents solidarity towards those in need, relieving practical difficulties and bringing us closer to our goal of ending period poverty. By providing these necessary resources, we affirm dignity and empower individuals.

“Grace Period is an organization I founded when I was 15 to distribute period products to those in need in the Bay Area…”
